RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria 2024

Education Requirement

• Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. (OR)
• Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above (OR)
• Matriculation / SSLC plus three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR)
• Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution instead of ITI.

Age Limit(As of 01 July 2024)

• Age is must be between 18 and 30 years.
• Age relaxation of 3 and 5 years for OBC (NCL) and SC/ST aspirants, respectively

Selection Process for RRB ALP Assistant Loco Pilot

• The selection process will be based on Computer Based Test.
• The recruitment process will include the following steps

CBT I:

Sections	Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness on Current Affairs
Number of Questions	75
Marks	75
Marking Scheme	1 mark for each correct answer, negative marking of ⅓ mark for each incorrect answer.

CBT II:

Duration	2 hours 30 minutes
Sections	Part A: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness on Current Affairs Part B: Relevant Trade
Number of Questions	Part A: 100 Part B: 75
Marks	Part A: 100 Part B: 75
Marking Scheme	1 mark for each correct answer, negative marking of ⅓ mark for each incorrect answer.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

• Candidates who clear the CBT I and II will be called for CBAT.
