SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must know all the eligibility criteria required for various posts for SBI Clerk 2023. Eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification etc. are mentioned below.

The minimum age of a candidate to apply for SBI exam is 20 years but not more than 28 years i.e. candidates should not be born before 02.08.1994 and after 01.08.2002 (both dates as per previous year notification) Needed Age relaxation for category wise candidates as per government rules

SBI Clerk 2023 Educational Qualification (As on 31/12/2023)
- The candidate must have a valid degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates holding Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure the date of passing the IDD.
- Those who are in the final year/semester of their degree may also apply provisionally, provided that if selected provisionally, they will be required to produce proof of passing the graduate examination.
- Matriculation ex-servicemen who have obtained Indian Army Special Education Certificate or relevant certificate in Navy or Air Force after completing at least 15 years of service in the Central Armed Forces are also eligible.
- Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operations is essential for SBI Clerk exam.
SBI clerk 2023 nationality
- Eligibility for SBI Clerk nationality includes individuals must be an Indian Citizen.
- A person of Nepal or Bhutan or Tibetan refugees settling in India before January 1, 1962, and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) who migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries (Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi), with candidates in categories 2, 3, and 4 requiring a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
SBI Clerk 2023 Selection Process
- The selection process for SBI Clerk consists of two stages: Preliminary and Mains.
- In the Online Preliminary Examination, SBI will shortlist some candidates from different categories based on the Online Main Examination criteria.
- For online main examination, candidates need to qualify and score high marks in each section to meet the overall cut-off for final selection.
- The final result will be determined by the merit list of SBI Clerk Main Exam.
- Candidates will be allotted posts based on their preferences submitted during registration. SBI plays an important role in the provisional allotment and details regarding exam dates, joining dates and other formalities will be shared soon.
SBI clerk 2023 Salary
- Revised SBI Clerk Pay Scale Rs. 17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920.
- In a metro city like Mumbai, the starting salary package of SBI Clerk has been revised to Rs 29000/- per month including the Dearness Allowance (D.A) & other allowances.
- Initial basic salary is Rs. 19900/- (Rs. 17900/- and two advance increments are admissible for graduates).
- The candidate will serve on probation for 6 months. Furthermore, the performance of newly appointed employees will be evaluated before the end of the probation period and the probation period of employees whose performance is not up to expectations may be extended.
SBI clerk 2023 Application Fees
- The application fees is ₹750/- for General/ OBC/ EWS category.
- SC/ ST/ PwBD/ ESM/DESM are exempted from payment of application fees.
